VR2000 Advanced Boot Loader Environment (ABLE)

ABLE is the VR2000 boot loader environment, it combines the functions of a PC's BIOS and operating system boot loader. The current version of ABLE for the VR2000 is version 2.08.

Download ABLE 'romwrite' 2.08.

This version of ABLE is the 'romwrite' version which meands that it is designed to be transferred in to the VR2000 using TFTP and includes the code necessery to erase and re-program the onvoard 39LV160 FLASH device.

WARNING: Refer to the instructions in the Reference Manual for the correct procedure to install or upgrade ABLE on the VR2000. Incorret upgrade procedure can damage your VR2000.

VR2000 Application software

Thorcom supplies two standard applications for the VR2000 - the power management daemon ('powerd') and the automatic vehicle location daemon ('avld'). Use the appropriate links below to download the latest supported versions of these applications.

Related software

The VR2000 Windows Downloader (VWD) is a program for Windows-2000/Windows-XP that retreives the datalog from a VR2000 and unconpresses the binary log file and produces an XML output. This program is for use with VR2000 units supplied with SMG for the Highways Agency only. The VR2000 Windows Downloader has no other application/uses at this time.
